Sir, as per record after approval of the Competent Authority the electroplating section of industry was sealed as electric connection of industry was not disconnected by PSPCL Authorities. In regard to imposition of EC based on no. of days of violation, RO-2 reported that leakage of effluent into CETP drain was detected on 7/12/2022 after complaint and industry submitted photographs dated 8/12/2022 regarding removal of byepass arrangements, hence no. of days for which effluent has been discharged into CETP drain cannot be ascertained and RO has proposed notional EC equilant to 30-days of violations in the detail note as above. Considering latest verification report dated 11/03/2023 of RO-2, Jalandhar (A) Grant of cosent under Water Act 1974 upto 30/09/2023 (for further verification/inspection) as proposed by EE, Zonal Office is approved principally. (B) Submitted for approval to issue directions to RO-2, for de-sealing of electroplating/trade effluent generating section of industry upto 30/09/2023. (C) Industry be directed to deposit Env. Comp. of Rs 50,000/- on best judgemental assessment basis for the earlier violations made by industry within 10-days.
