<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The subject cited brick kiln has applied for obtaining fresh Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS mode. Earlier, the consent to operate Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted to the brick kiln vide online reference no. CTOA/Fresh/GRP/2020/11907408 dated 10/01/2020, which is valid upto 30/09/2024 under orange category. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The brick kiln has deposited Rs. 32,400/- Vide UTR No. AXSK230400006547 dated 09/02/2023 and Rs. 8700/- vide UTR NoAXSK230400006532 dated 09/02/2023 as consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30/09/2027 including Rs. 500/- as Form downloading fee against total gross value of fixed assets worth Rs. 49,13,500/-. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The brick kiln has submitted completion certificate issued by PSCST, Chandigarh vide letter no. PSCST/CC/773 dated 04/12/2019 intimating that the industry has constructed induced draft Brick Kiln with zig-zag firing as per the technology evolved by the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology. The Kiln owner will ensure the implementation of recommended operating practices as per the Feasibility Report (SPL-1280). The Brick Kiln has also submitted the copy of dimensional drawing/plan of Kiln showing the length of Central Island of brick kiln is less than 245 ft. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The applicant has submitted copy of coal register duly signed by the Chartered Accountant and undertaking regarding non-operational of BKO without Zig-Zag Technology. As per coal register submitted, the BKO operated only for two months. The Brick Kiln has also deposited Rs. 60,000/- Vide Ch. No. 017359 dated 16/03/2023 as Environmental Compensation fee. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin: 0in; margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">In view of the above, may if approved “Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the Brick Kiln for a period upto 30/09/2027 without visiting the unit in the light of Head Office Order No. 59 dated 02/02/2016 subject to the suitable conditions along with the special conditions as under:- </span></p>
