Thereafter, the hotel was visited by RO and found not complying and accordingly the hotel was given hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board on 11.11.2022 and it was decided that consent to operate granted under the Water Act, 1974 to the hotel be revoked and hotel shall submit the bank guarantee of Rs. 1.0 lac as an assurance to comply with provisions of Water Act, 1974 and solid waste management within 07-days.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; tab-stops: 146.25pt;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The consent to operate granted under the Water Act, 1974 to the hotel was revoked by the Board. Now, the hotel has applied for consent under Water Act, 1974 through OCMMS. As per agenda note, RO has reported that the hotel cum restaurant was visited by the AEE on 09.02.2023 and observed that the hotel cum restaurant is not generating any trade effluent only domestic effluent discharging into M.C Sewer after STP.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Samples of outlet of STP were collected on 13.01.2023 and as per analysis report all the parameters are within the prescribed limits. The hotel has provided compost bins for composting of Bio-degradable solid waste generated from the hotel. The hotel has also submitted the bank guarantee of Rs. 1.0 lacs (0532-BG0050-22) dated 30.11.2022 valid upto 30.11.2023.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; tab-stops: 146.25pt;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30.09.2025 with usual conditions and special conditions that:-</p>

SEE(HQ2)/2021/64 dated 02.02.2021.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; tab-stops: 146.25pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The establishment shall obtain necessary permissions from Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA)/ Central Groundwater (CGWA) for extraction of groundwater as and when required.</p>

The establishment shall furnish quarterly reports to the PPCB showing quantity of water consumption (month-wise) and quantity of treated water.</p>

The hotels/halls shall go for ground-based/artificial storage systems, storage tanks and other similar arrangements.</p>

Store horticulture waste and garden waste generated from such premises separately in within the own premises and</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -36.0pt; mso-text-indent-alt: -18.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: 146.25pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;"><span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span>III.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->4(8) All hotels and restaurants shall, within one year from the date of notification of these rules and in partnership with the local body ensure segregated of waste at sources as prescribed in these rules, facilitate collection of segregated waste in separate streams, handover recyclable material to either the authorized waste pickers or the authorized recyclers. The bio-degradable waste shall be processed, treated and disposed off through composting or bio-methanation within the premises as far as possible. The residual waste shall be given to the waste collectors or agency as directed by the Local body.</p>

The guidelines issued by District Administration/Police Authorities concerned departments for abatement and control of noise pollution shall also remain applicable.</p>
