The industry is a small scale orange category unit. Earlier the industry was granted consent to establish NOC under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for Auto parts @ 4 Metric Tonnes/Day by using Casting from markets @ 2 Metric Tonnes/Day and Steel bars @ 0.4 Metric Tonnes/Day as raw material.          Now the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for Auto Parts @ 12 MTD by using Casting from markets @ 10 MTD, Steel Bars @ 02 MTD and Finished Goods @ 05 MTD. The industry has deposited Rs. 58400/- Vide UTR/No. 879170335 dated 01.03.2023 under Water Act 1974 and Rs. 65300/- (Including Rs. 10800/- as NOC fee and Rs. 500/- as application form fee) Vide UTR/No. 684167490 dated 01.03.2023 under Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.09.2026   .          The industry was visited by EE alongwith AEE of this office on 09.03.2023 and it was observed that the industry was in operation. The industry has installed one paint booth with water curtain/sprinkling system as APCD. The industry has also installed one D.G set of capacity 140 KVA with canopy and attached to stack of adequate height. The industry has installed STP of capacity 10 KLD based on MBBR Technology comprising following components: Collection tankàPrimary ClarifieràBio-Reactor with MediaàSecondary ClarifieràStorageàFiltration Multimedia & Activated Carbonà Disposal. There is no source of generation of trade effluent. Domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after treatment through STP. The cooling water is being re-circulated. The industry has submitted building plan approved from Director of Factories, Punjab.          Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2026 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board.
