<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 40.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH1/2018/7097703 dated 24.04.2018 valid upto 31.03.2023 & Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH1/2018/7097499 dated 24.04.2018 valid upto 31.03.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 40.5pt;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has applied for renewal of 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The industry was visited by this office on 20.03.2023 & following observations were made:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in the manufacturing of Welding tools & Accessories, Hand tools, Sheet metal components, Bike adaptor, Plastic components & Fabricated items.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry is engaged in phosphating process & has valid agreement with M/s JBR Technologies, Pvt. Ltd. Moti Nagar, Ludhiana for lifting of its trade effluent generated from the process @ 25000 Ltr/month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed water meter at fresh water supply leading to the process.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry is maintaining the record of fresh water consumption viz-a-viz trade effluent lifted by CETP operator.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has one gas fired furnace with forging press & one oil fired furnace.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has 03 powder coating booths with cyclone as Air Pollution Control Device separately. The industry has 03 electric operated baking ovens for heating of powder coated materials.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed 1 no. rotary barrel type shot blast machine with inbuilt bag filter house as Air Pollution Control Device.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has 2 nos. DG sets of capacity 365 KVA & 125 KVA with canopy & adequate stack height.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">9.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has maintained the record of generation, lifting and consumption of fresh water. The record maintained by the industry was checked and found in order. The industry has lastly got its effluent lifted on 20.03.2023 amounting 7000 ltr vide manifest no. 468782 dated 20.03.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">10.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has submitted updated building plan approved from Director of Factories, Punjab.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">11.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry is complying with provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> In view of above, it is recommended that 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted valid upto 30.06.2028 with suitable condition as per the policy of the Board, please. </span></p> |
