<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 40.5pt;">The industry was granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH1/2017/5736292 dated 06.07.2017 valid upto 30.06.2022 & Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH1/2017/5736202 dated 06.07.2017 valid upto 30.06.2022 engaged in the process of Auto black of Auto/MV/Cycle Parts on job basis @ 500 Kg./day.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 40.5pt;">The industry has applied for renewal of 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 with same production. The industry was visited by this office on 21.03.2023 & following observations were made:-</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in auto blacking of Auto/MV/Cycle Parts.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The industry has installed one auto blacking furnace with hood adequate stack height.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The water meter reading during visit was 44.140 KL. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The industry is maintaining record of water consumption as well as waste water lifting by the industry. The industry has lastly lifted its trade effluent @ 3500 ltr vide memo no. 468414 dated 07.03.2023.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Tech. Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana for lifting of its trade effluent @ 10000 Ltr./month. The domestic effluent @ 0.2 KLD is being discharged into sewer.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The industry has installed 01 DG set of capacity 05 KVA with canopy & adequate stack height.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The industry has submitted the building plans approved from competent person under Director of Factories, Punjab.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The industry is complying with the previous consent conditions granted to the industry under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 58.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;">9.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>The competency to decide the consents lies with Sr. Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-I, Ludhiana.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> In view of above, it is recommended that 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2028 with suitable condition as per the policy of the Board, please.</p>
