<p><span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify; background-color: #fffff0;">Discussed, following additional conditions may be imposed on the industry in compliance to the Hon'ble NGT's order:- </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: justify; background-color: #fffff0;">1. The industry shall provide EMF meter on the sources of water supply within one month. 2. The industry shall provide EMF meter at inlet and outlet of its effluent Treatment Plant within one month. 3. The industry shall submit report from its ETP supplier for the optimum quantity of chemicals/ coagulants used for treatment in its ETP as well as operational manual of the same within one month. 4. The industry shall make arrangement to properly dry its sludge generated from its Effluent Treatment Plant and also to avoid rain water into it. 5. The industry shall provide automatic dosing arrangement for optimum chemical/ coagulants it its ETP instead of manual system within one month. 6. The industry shall submit monthly data (by 5th of every month) of production, power consumption, power consumption in ETP, water consumption, waste water generation, chemicals and coagulants consumption in ETP (and its purchase) and sludge generation to the Regional Office through email ppcbro1@yahoo.com. 7. The industry shall submit irrigation scheme from Punjab Agriculture University within one month i.e. for use of treated trade effluent onto land for irrigation/ plantation. 8. The industry shall construct impervious lined storage tank of minimum 15 days capacity for storage of treated effluent during low/ no demand period. 9. The industry shall provide proper fixed distribution network for use of treated effluent for irrigation/plantation. 10. The industry shall get physico-chemical characteristics of the soil under irrigation with treated effluent twice a year in summer and post monsoon season in order to determine the deterioration of soil quality. 11. The industry shall provide ground water sampling arrangements in the irrigation area within one month and shall submit the analysis report of the same from PPCB or its recognized lab atleast twice a year. 12. The industry shall submit analysis report of treated effluent twice a year from NABL/ EPA/ SPCBs approved or state laboratories. The above is also necessary in view of the provisions of the District Environment Plan, decisions of Monitoring Committee as well as guidelines for utilization of treated effluent for irrigation framed by CPCB and circulated vide no. 1530 dated 02.06.2021. These irrigation guidelines stand framed by CPCB as per directions of Hon'ble NGT in OA no. 348 of 2017 titled as Shailesh Singh Vs AI-Dua Food Processing Pvt. Ltd.,</span></p>
