<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The unit is a hotel and was granted consent under Water Act, 1974 valid upto 30.09.2020 for rooms @ 15 no alongwith domestic effluent @ 3 KLD to be discharged into M.C sewer after passing through oil & grease trap and septic tank and consent under Air Act, 1981 valid upto 30.09.2020 for D.G set of capacity 150 KVA and 60 KVA. The hotel was issued notice u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 with hearing before Chief Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar on 13/3/2023 in which it was decided that:-</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now, the hotel has applied for renewal of consent under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. As per agenda note, the RO has reported that the hotel was visited on 10.02.2023 and during visit, no function found being organized. However, 05 rooms are occupied. The unit has Rooms -11, Banquet hall – 70 chairs, Beer Bar – 30 chairs, Restaurant – 35 chairs, Kitty hall – 25 chairs, Party hall – 50 chairs, Total arrangement for 230 persons. The unit has provided O&G trap followed by the septic tank for the treatment of domestic effluent. The domestic effluent is discharged into M.C sewer which is connected with terminal STP and is achieving the standards of the Board. The unit has installed D.G set of capacity 160 KVA equipped with canopy with stack. The LPG, wood is used as fuel in the kitchen and ducting system is installed. No effluent was found to be discharged outside with mobile tankers. The hotel has submitted BG of Rs 50,000/- which is valid upto March 2024.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In view of the above it is recommended that consent under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the hotel upto 30.09.2027 with usual conditions and special conditions that:-<span style="font-size: 3pt;"> </span></p>
