<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">Board vide letter no. 531-535 dated 27/02/2023 has issued directions u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and 31-A of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which are reproduced as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%; margin: 0in 0in 12.0pt 9.0pt;"><strong><em><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">"That the authorities concerned shall disconnect the supply of electricity available to the subject cited industry/ premises with immediate effect."</span></em></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">In compliance to the above said directions, PSPCL authorities have issued disconnection order no. 100020840175 dated 03/03/2023 for disconnection of above said unit. But, PSPCL has not disconnected the electric supply of subject cited unit till date. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">It is pertinent to mention here that this office has already requested AEE, PSPCL vide letter no. 304-05 dated 07/03/2023 and reminder no. 329-30 dated 14/03/2023 to get the compliance of directions issued by Board. Both the letters were personally delivered by this office to PSPCL.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">In view of the above, it is recommended that Chairman, PSPCL, Patiala may be requested to direct concerned officer to comply with directions issued by the Board and to disconnect the electric supply available to the industry with immediate effect.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p> |
