<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">It is submitted that the industry is small scale orange category unit (rice mill) and has applied for NOC under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 for processing of Rice @ 2.67 TPH by using paddy @ 04 TPH as raw material by installing shelling section 04 TPH and Dryer 32 TPH using cyclone separator as APCD. The rice sheller has deposited of Rs 8900/- vide R.No. 452335714 dated 12.03.2023, Rs. 2400/- vide R.no. 592946192 dated 18.03.2023 and Rs. 2400/- vide R.no. 289385327 dated 18.03.2023 under the NOC fees valid up to one year.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The rice sheller was visited by the undersigned on 15.03.2023 and it was observed as under: -</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 51.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -19.5pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->There was no high-tension wire passing at the proposed site. The industry has not installed any plant and machinery at the site.</p>

The industry has proposed to use rice husk as fuel in dryer furnace. The industry has proposed to discharge only domestic effluent onto land for irrigation through treatment in septic tank.</p>

Further, Site does not fall within 500 mtr urbanisable limit of approved Master Plan and does not fall in 2.0 KM radius of Local Bodies limit.</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 49.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in;">5.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The rice sheller has submitted letter no 601 dated 14.03.2023 from SDM, Ludhiana (East) Mentioning that :-</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 51.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -19.5pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">7.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->As per the report of DTP, Ludhiana and SDM, Ludhiana (East), the site is suitable for establishment of rice shelling units and pollution control arrangement proposed by the industry are adequate in principal.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, it is recommended that NOC under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the rice sheller up to one year for processing of for Rice @ 2.67 TPH by using paddy @ 04 TPH as raw material by installing shelling section 04 TPH and Dryer 32 TPH using cyclone separator as APCD with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.</p>
