CTOW/Fresh/PKT/2018/6785951 &amp; CTOA/Varied/PKT/2020/ 12028634 dated 11/01/2018 &amp; 14/02/2020, which are valid upto 31/03/2023 for 100 beds.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Now the Hospital has applied for obtaining renewal consent to operate under Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 &amp; Air (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the operation of Hospital for 100 beds through OCMMS in a totally paperless manner by uploading necessary documents as PDF.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The hospital has deposited Rs. 50,500/- vide UTR No. N072232370690857 dated 13/03/2023 &amp; Rs. 50,000/- vide UTR No. N072232370678472 dated 13/03/2023 consent to operate fee under Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Under Air (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 including Rs. 500/- Form Downloading Fee, which is adequate upto 31/03/2028.&nbsp;The HCF was visited by AEE of this office on 21/03/2023 and observed as under:-</span></p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 21.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.5pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="line-height: 150%;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The HCF is a 100 bedded hospital.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 21.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.5pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="line-height: 150%;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The HCF has provided colour coded plastic bins at wards, operation theatre, ICU, and Nursing Stations for segregation of Bio Medical Waste and segregation was found as per Bio Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 21.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.5pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="line-height: 150%;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The HCF has installed ETP to treat the effluent and same was in operation during the visit. The treated effluent is discharged into plantation area at the back side of the hospital and onto the garden area in the front.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 21.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.5pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span lang="EN-US">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span lang="EN-US">The HCF is maintaining the record of Bio Medical Waste lifted by CBWTF.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 21.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.5pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="line-height: 150%;">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The HCF has provided needle destroyers for shredding of needles and the Bio Medical Waste segregated as per BMW Rules, 2016.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt 21.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.5pt; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span lang="EN-US">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span lang="EN-US">The HCF has provided a final collection point for Bio Medical Waste at the entrance&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and no mixing of Bio Medical Waste was found during visit.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It is pertinent to mention here that the authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management) Rules, 2016 was extended upto 31/03/2024 vide online reference no. BMW/Fresh/PKT/2020/12028765 dated 21/09/2018 for 100 beds through OCMMS. (Agenda Note is also attached herewith).</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act,1981 may be extended upto 31/03/2028 for 100 beds with the special condition that the HCF shall submit the analysis report of the effluent samples from the Board&rsquo;s approved lab within 02 months period.</span></p>
