<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The project is a orange category Five star rating Hotel and was earlier granted consent under Water Act, 1974 dated 28.12.2018 valid upto 30.09.2023 and Air Act 1981 dated 25.04.2018 upto 31.03.2023. Now, the hotel has applied for renewal of consents and as per agenda note, the site of the hotel was visited by officer on 01.03.2023 and it was observed that the hotel has installed STP for treatment of domestic effluent generated by the hotel. The domestic effluent is discharged into sewer after treatment with STP. The effluent sample of the hotel was collected during visit and all the parameters are found within the prescribed limits of the Board. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Keeping in view of report of RO, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the hotel upto 30.09.2026 with suitable conditions and special conditions that:-</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The project proponent shall provide Rain Water Harvesting System in consultation with Punjab Water Regulation & Development Authority (PWRDA).</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall maintain records of fresh water consumption and in reference to operation of sewage treatment plant (STP) on daily basis.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall adopt energy conservation measures by providing solar system, LED bulbs & inverters etc.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">7)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall not throw burn or burry any solid wastes in open outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">8)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall ensure that hazardous waste (used oil, used batteries) are collected properly & disposed off to the authorized recyclers registered with MoEF & CC / CPCB and having valid operating license of Punjab Pollution Control Board.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">9)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches / water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">10)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent shall<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>make all necessary arrangements for compliance of Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 & shall obtain required necessary permission from designated authorities for operation of DJ etc. as per provisions of Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.
