<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: 30.15pt; text-indent: 71.95pt; line-height: 150%;">It is intimated that the site of the industry was visited on surprise basis on 17.11.2022 and during the visit, the industry was found violating the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The detail report was sent through E-noting vide no. 20457250 dated 22.11.2022 <strong>(copy of report attached)</strong> for initiating action against the industry for violating the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The copy of the report is attached. Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as its consents are going to expire on 31.03.2023. Application was examine and all the documents were checked and scrutiny has been complete. However, the physical verification of the industry could not be done due to the pending directions from the Board’s Competent Authority of the violation report sent as mentioned before. Therefore, the application may be sent to the Zonal Office, Jalandhar for directions to verify the compliance.</p> |
