<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%; margin: .15pt 18.85pt .0001pt 19.6pt;"><span style="mso-font-width: 115%;">Now,<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>the<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>industry<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>has<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>applied<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>for<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>varied<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>consent<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>to operate<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span><span style="letter-spacing: -.05pt;">under</span><span style="letter-spacing: -.25pt;"> </span><span style="letter-spacing: -.05pt;">Water</span><span style="letter-spacing: -.25pt;"> </span><span style="letter-spacing: -.05pt;">(Prevention</span><span style="letter-spacing: -.25pt;"> </span>&<span style="letter-spacing: -.2pt;"> </span>Control<span style="letter-spacing: -.3pt;"> </span>of<span style="letter-spacing: -.25pt;"> </span>Pollution)<span style="letter-spacing: -.25pt;"> </span>Act<span style="letter-spacing: -.25pt;"> </span>1974<span style="letter-spacing: -.25pt;"> </span>and<span style="letter-spacing: -.3pt;"> </span>Air<span style="letter-spacing: -.25pt;"> </span>(Prevention<span style="letter-spacing: -.25pt;"> </span>and<span style="letter-spacing: -2.9pt;"> </span>Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 </span><span style="mso-font-width: 110%;">for pipe fittings @10Metric Tonnes/Day by using pig iron and m.s scrap @10.2Metric Tonnes/Day as raw material with 2 nos. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>induction furnaces of capacity 1.000 TPH and 0.500 TPH, shot blast machines- 2 nos. and one D.G set of capacity 125 KVA. The industry has deposited Rs. 28000/- vide R.N. N028232306185726 dated 28.01.2023 under Water Act, 1974 and <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Rs. 30000/- (Including Rs. 1000/- as NOC fee, Rs. 500/- as application form fee and Rs. 500/- as facilitation charges) vide R.N. N028232306182586 dated 28.01.2023 under Air Act, 1981 which is adequate upto 30.09.2028.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%; margin: .2pt 18.65pt .0001pt 19.6pt;"><span style="mso-font-width: 115%;">The industry was visited by officers of this office on 27.02.2023 and during visit it was observed that the industry was in operation and engaged in the manufacturing of </span><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-hansi-font-family: Cambria; mso-bidi-font-family: Cambria; mso-font-width: 115%;">pipe fitting</span><span style="mso-font-width: 115%;">.<span style="letter-spacing: 3.05pt;"> </span>The industry has installed<span style="letter-spacing: 3.05pt;"> </span>02 nos.<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>induction furnaces of capacity 1 TPH and 0.500 TPH with bag house filter as APCD. The industry has installed 2 no.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>shot blasting machine with bag house<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>filter as APCD.<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>The<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>industry<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>has<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>installed<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>one D.G set of capacity 125 KVA with<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>canopy and attached to stack of adequate height.<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>There is no source of trade effluent generation. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Domestic effluent is<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>discharge into sewer. The industry has already submitted approved building plan from<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>Director<span style="letter-spacing: .75pt;"> </span>of<span style="letter-spacing: .7pt;"> </span>Factories.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%; margin: .25pt 18.65pt .0001pt 19.6pt;"><span style="mso-font-width: 115%;">The industry is small scale orange<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer,<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>Jalandhar.</span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%; margin: .25pt 18.65pt .0001pt 19.6pt;"><span style="mso-font-width: 115%;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2028 with usual conditions and with special condition that the industry will get its stack emission sample analyzed from Board’s Lab within 03 months.</span></p> |
