<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">Thereafter, the industry was issued directions u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 for closure of unit vide Board's letter no. 5357-58 dated 6/9/2022 and PSPCL authorities directed to disconnect the electricity supply u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 vide Board's letter no. 5353-56 dated 6/9/2022. The PSPCL authority has disconnected the electric connection of the industry at unit i.e. kWh 194835, kvah 202044 at time 3:20 pm.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">Further, PSPCL was issued directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide letter no. 6235--36 dated 12.10.2022 to restore electricity connection of the industry till 12.04.2023.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">The project proponent was granted Consent to operate the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2022/20072222 dated 13.10.2022, valid till 12.04.2023 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/SAS/2022/20071895 dated 13.10.2022, valid till 12.04.2023 for manufacturing of SS Screw and Hinges @ 150 Kgs/day with special conditions as under:</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l2 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">9.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plasticthermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">The industry was earlier visited by the officer of the Board on 18.01.2023. During the visit, it was observed as under:</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">The report of the same was sent to SEE , ZP-1, Patiala vide letter no. 1242 dated 2.3.2023.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">Now, the project proponent has applied renewal of Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of SS Screw and Hinges @ 150 Kgs/day along with requisite documents.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">The project proponent has submitted CA Certificate with the value of fixed assets of Rs. 55.47 lakh on 29.09.2022. Earlier, the industry has deposited Rs. 48,800/- vide R. No. 903967975 dated 30.09.2022 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 48300/- vide R. No. 893897048 dated 30.09.2022 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which are adequate till 26.09.2028 under both acts.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">The project proponent has submitted approved building plan from competent person under Factory Act, 1948. The project proponent has submitted compliance report of the previous Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>granted to it.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">The site was visited by the undersigned on 22.03.2023 and contacted Sh. Desraj Jain, Partner (9815146466). During visit it was observed as under:</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo4;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The project proponent is not carrying electroplating process in the plot anymore and is getting its done from outside.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">In view of above, it is recommended that</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">1) Directions for release of electric connection permanently to the industry, may be issued to PSPCL as the industry is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as observed during visit of the industry last 3 times.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">2) <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted till 31.12.2027 with same terms and condition as mentioned in the previous Consent to Operate granted vide no. CTOW/Fresh/SAS/2022/20072222 dated 13.10.2022.</p>
