<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>The industry has applied for obtaining Consent to Establish (NOC) under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 through OCMMS for</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> manufacturing of tablets @2 Crores/Ann um and Capsules @3 Crore/Annum <span style="color: black;">with proposed discharge of trade effluent @ 0.4 KLD Onto land for plantation after ETP and domestic effluent @ 1.2 KLD onto land for plantaion after septic tank. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The site was visited by AEE of this office on 21.03.2023 and observed that :-</span></p>

<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The proposed site is located at Village Gaunspur, Tehsil Ludhiana West, District Ludhiana. The site is surrounded by Red & Orange Categories of industries. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted letter issued by DTP, Ludhiana vide no. 557 dated 03.03.2023 stating that the site of the industry falls under Industrial Zone as per provisions of the Approved Master Plan, Ludhiana (2007-31).</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="color: black; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Construction was going on in full swing during visit. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right: -1.8pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has proposed to install the ETP of capacity 1 KLD based on physio chemical for the treatment of its effluent. The ETP will consists of screen chamber, collection tank, batching tank, primary clarifier, Filter feed tank, Pressure sand filter, Activated carbon filter, sludge drying beds. The industry has proposed to discharge its treated effluent onto land for plantation for this purpose, which is principally adequate. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right: -1.8pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">There will be no source of air pollution as the industry has not proposed any boiler in the process. </span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right: -1.8pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has proposed to install 02 DG sets of capacity 100 KVA & 200 KVA along with canopy and adequate stack height. </span></li>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 2.0cm; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: black;">Thus, the proposed site is </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">suitable<span style="color: black;"> for establishment of such type of units as it falls in Industrial Zone as per Approved Master Plan (2007-31) and the project proponent has proposed adequate measures for pollution control. </span><span style="color: red;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 2.0cm; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Keeping the above in view, it is recommended that the ‘Consent to Establish’ (NOC) from pollution angle may be granted to the project proponent for one year subject to suitable conditions alongwith special condition that :- </span></p>
