<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black;">The industry is a brick kiln and earlier, it was granted 'Consent to Operate' under Air Act, 1981 upto 30-09-2029.</span></p>
<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black;">The BKO was visited by the officer of the Board on 13-06-2022 and it was found emitting black smoke. Accordingly, Consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was revoked and directions u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for closure of unit were issued. The DFSC, Ludhiana was directed to cancel licence of the BKO and PSPCL, Ludhiana was directed to disconnect electricity of BKO.</span></p>
<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black;">The industry later applied for ‘Consent to Operate’ under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. After verifying compliance, Consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted to the industry upto 15/05/2023 and PSPCL was directed to restore electric connection upto 15.5.2023. The DFSC, Ludhiana was directed to not to cancel license of the BKO. The industry has now again applied for Consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="ydp8b25cf8eyiv6589084485ydp48a32f10msonormal" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black;">The industry was visited by officer of the Board on 15/03/2023 and it was observed as under:</span></p>
