<p>It is submitted that a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Chairman of the Board Dr. Adarsh Pal Vig regarding adoption of zero liquid discharge (ZLD) technology by pickling/electroplating units generating trade effluent more than 150 KL/month and disposing their effluent to CETP for electroplating units installed at D-260-61, Focal point, Phase-8, Ludhiana on 21-12-2021.</p>
<p>In this meeting, it was decided that all the pickling/electroplating industries having agreement more than 150 K/month shall submit their proposal to install the ETP based ZLD technology for treatment of their electroplating/spent hydrochloric acid (HCI) within three months with timeline to comply within 6 months.</p>
<p>The minutes of the meeting were conveyed to the industries (12 nos.) vide letter no. 748-759 dated 28.02.2022.</p>
<p>The subject cited industry is not included in the list of 12 industries. As such, the proceedings of the meeting were not conveyed to the above industry. </p>
<p>The spent acid generation from the industry is more than 150 KL/month, which is being lifted to CETP operator. For electroplating effluent and rinsing effluent from the pickling section, the industry has installed ETPs based on ZLD system as already detailed in the agenda note. Submitted please.</p> |
