<p>RO has reported that the hotel was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2021/16596965 dated 24/08/2021 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2021/16612839 dated 24/08/2021, which are valid up to 30/09/2026.</p>
<p> Now, the hotel has applied for obtaining varied consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (for change of raw material & product i.e. Hotel, Rooms, Toilet, Kitchen, Restaurant, Laundry etc.) along with compliance of the previous granted consents, latest CA Certificate, water analysis report issued by Zonal Lab, Jalandhar and request letter etc. The hotel has already deposited fee of Rs. 54,000/- as consent fee under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 54,000/- as consent fee under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 5600/- as NOC Regularization fee & Rs. 500/- as application form fee along with its previous application submitted in 2021, which are valid up to 30/09/2026 under both Acts. Now the hotel has deposited Rs. 2900/- as NOC regularization fee & Rs. 500/- as application form fee along with this application.</p>
<p> It is further intimated that the hotel has submitted water analysis report issued by Zonal Lab, Jalandhar vide no. 1900-02 dated 08/07/2021 and as per analysis report the analyzed parameters i.e. pH=7.6, COD=140 mg/l, BOD=26 mg/l, TSS=20 mg/l, TDS=682 mg/l and O&G=7 mg/l are within the prescribed limits of the Board.</p>
<p> The hotel was visited by officer of this office on 17/03/2023 and observed as under:-</p>
<p>1. The hotel is comprising of 45 nos. rooms and a small restaurant.</p>
<p>2. The hotel has installed an STP which was in operation at the time of visit.</p>
<p>3. The treated domestic effluent outlet is into public sewer.</p>
<p>4. The hotel has installed a D.G. set of capacity 250 KVA which is fitted with canopy.</p>
<p>5. The representative present at site told that they have no plan for any addition in the pollution load. Further, he told that they are going to make a tie-up with a reputed firm, for which they have applied for obtaining varied consent as per their requirement.</p>
<p> It is further intimated that the hotel is complying with the conditions of consents granted earlier under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. </p>
<p>RO has recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hotel up to 30/09/2026 with usual terms and conditions along with special condition that the hotel shall submit the analysis report of effluent within 02 months.</p>
<p>Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hotel up to 30/09/2026 with usual terms and conditions along with special condition that the hotel shall submit the analysis report of effluent within 02 months.</p>
