The industry was granted consent under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDHKH/2022/18420369 dated 13/05/2022 valid 31/12/2022 for manufacturing of Flat, Bar, Round Square @ 12 MTD.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 with requisite documents through OCMMS under orange category. The industry has deposit consent fee of Rs. 1800/- vide e-R no.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>241415500 dated 23/03/2023 under Air Act, 1981 against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 19.04 Lacs as on 28/02/2023 as per CA certificate dated 18/03/2023, which is now adequate upto <strong>31/12/2023 </strong>after deducting penalty charges 10 %. There is no increase in the pollution load.</span></p>

The industry has submitted stack emission sampling was carried out by NABL approved lab on <strong>19.12.2022</strong>. As per the analysis results, the concentration of SPM is found to be <strong>112 mg/Nm3</strong>, which is within the permissible limits of 150 mg/Nm3 as laid down by the Board. The industry is complying with consent conditions under both acts with Environmental laws. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN;">In the meeting held under the Chairmanship of Shri Vijay Kumar Janju, Chief Secretary, Punjab with the representatives of rolling mills operating in Mandi Gobindgarh Area on 30/12/2022 at 12:00 noon regarding their conversion of fuel from Coal/ Furnace Oil to PNG, it was unanimously decided that the rolling mills operating in Mandi Gobindgarh area may be granted relaxation for some time for converting from their conventional fuels to cleaner fuels and the Competent Authority of the Board may consider/ decide regarding extending the validity of the Consents to Operate till finalization of State Fuel Policy or 31/12/2023, whichever is earlier subject to suitable conditions.</span></p>
