<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The marriage palace was issued show cause notice for refusal of consents to operate under the provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing on 09.03.2023 as it failed to provide septic tank after oil & grease trap for the effluent generated from the kitchen section and also failed to provide the hoods with adequate stack height in the kitchen section</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> During hearing, the Prop. of the industry submitted that septic tank has been provided after oil & grease trap for the effluent generated from the kitchen section & also hoods with adequate stack height has been provided in the kitchen section.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> After hearing the Prop. of the industry and officer of the Board, the Chief Environmental Engineer (B) decided that Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Bathinda shall visit the marriage palace, verify the submission made by the Prop. of the marriage palace & process the pending consent applications under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 on merits.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> Now the Regional Office has reported that the marriage palace was visited on 21.03.2023 and it was observed that oil & grease trap followed by septic tank has been provided for the effluent generated from the kitchen section and also proper hoods arrangements with exaust system has been provided in the kitchen section</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> In view of above, if approved, CTOs under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 be granted to the marriage palace upto 30.09.2027, subject to the specific conditions that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 18pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> 1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The marriage palace will ensure compliance w.r.t. the guidelines issued for control of pollution and enforcement of environmental norms at Individual Establishments and the Area/Cluster of Restaurants/ Hotels/Motels/ Banquets issued vide Board’s office order no SEE(HQ-2)2021/64 dt. 02.02.2021.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 18pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> 2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The marriage palace shall not throw, burn or burry any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain / water bodies.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 18pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> 3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The marriage palace shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocal or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 18pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> 4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The marriage palace shall ensure the compliance of policy guidelines, building norms (covered area, set back etc.), width of approach road, parking etc. notified by the State Govt. from time to time for marriage palaces.</span></p>
