<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span lang="EN-US">It is intimated that the rice Sheller was granted CTE vide board’s letter no </span></span>CTE/Fresh/LDH1/2022/19542078 Dated 12/08/2022 valid up to 11.08.2023 with conditions mentioned therein.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Now the Sheller has applied for CTO under Water act, 1974 and Air Act 1981. The Rice sheller has deposited consent fee through online which are adequate upto 30-09-2028 under both acts.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">To verify the application industry was visited by undersigned on 24.03.2023 and observed that the rice seller was in operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The rice sheller has installed one shelling section and one dryer unit, but the dried unit was without any air pollution control device and the air pollution control device installed on shelling unit was also without proper sampling arrangements. Further the movement area was not stabilized and the rice husk storage area was also not according to the code of practice. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The rice sheller has not planted trees around the boundary as per COP <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>nor for disposal of domestic effluent. Further the rice sheller is not complying with the code of practice framed by the Board for such industries. Moreover the rice sheller has been put into operation without obtaining consent to operate under water act 1974 and air act 1981 of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In view of above it is recommended that consent to operate applied by the rice seller under water act 1974 and air act 1981 <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>may be refused due to above mentioned reasons.</span></p> |
