<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">It is submitted that the industry is a small red category industry and the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS. The industry has deposited consent fee of amounting to Rs. 60,750/- vide UTR. No. N072232369166587 dated 13.03.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 500/- vide UTR No. N072232369157349 dated 13.03.2023 under NOC regularization fees & Rs. 500/- vide UTR. no. N072232369166164 dated 13.03.2023 application fees, which is adequate up to 01.07.2026 against gross value of fixed assets Rs. 67,28,128/- lacs and plant & machinery Rs. 17,87,395/- lacs as per C.A certificated as on 31.12.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">It is further informed that the industry was given personal hearing before SEE, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana on 11.01.2023 for Show Cause Notice for violation of provision of Water Act, 1974. After hearing the SEE, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana decided that:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">To verify the facts, the industry was visited by the undersigned on 22.03.2023 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>

The industry could not produced the record of daily water consumption viz-a-viz effluent lifted.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 65.25pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 115%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">During visit, it was found that the industry is disposing off its trade effluent into collection tank and is lifting its trade effluent to CETP operator as per the lifting slips produced during the visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 65.25pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 115%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">The industry has submitted copy of land use classification certificate from District Town Planner, Ludhiana vide 252 dated 01.02.2023 mentioning that the site falls under industrial Zone as per approved Master Plan of Ludhiana.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In view of above, it is recommended that the Show cause Notice for refusal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be issued to the industry please.</span></p>
