<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">It is submitted that the industry is a small scale orange category industry and has been granted Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH4/2018/7155085 dated 14.03.2018 valid upto 30.09.2021 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH4/2018/7155067 dated 14.03.2018 valid upto 30.09.2021 with certain conditions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Now, the industry has applied for Renewal of Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The industry has already deposit Rs. 82,800/- vide R. No. 698061694 dated 24.12.2022, under the Water Act, 1974, & Rs. 10,800/- including NOC regularization fees and Rs. 72,500/- vide R. No. 258791737 dated 24.12.2022 under the Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.09.2023 against gross value of fixed assets Rs. 8,16,30,000/- and plant & machinery Rs. 3,49,72,000/- as per C.A Certificate as on 31.03.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">To verify the facts, the industry was visited by the undersigned on 22.02.2023 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">1) The industry was in operation during visit and engaged in manufacturing of wood finishing machines. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">2) The industry has installed one no. powder coating booth provided with dust collector as APCD and with adequate stack height. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">3) The industry has installed 2 D.G. sets of capacity 62 KVA (each) equipped with canopies and stacks of adequate height. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">4) There is no source of trade effluent and only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">5) <a name="_Hlk130654726"></a>The industry has now submitted the continuance certificate from GLADA <a name="_Hlk130654752"></a>u/s 79 of Punjab Regional Town Planning & Development Act Amendment 2006 vide no. CA/GLADA/LDH/2017/ 34 dated 12.01.2018 mentioning that the industry is allowed to continue its operation upto 11.09.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style',serif;">Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.08.2023 with the suitable condition and with the special condition that :-</span></p>
