CTOW/Varied/LDH2/2018/7870943 dated 20/08/2018 valid upto 31/03/2023 & under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/LDH2/2018/7849012 dated 21/08/2018 valid utpo 31/03/2023 with suitable conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents, which may kindly be pursued.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The site of industry was visited by the EE and AEE of this office on 22.03.2023 and it was observed as under :-</span></p>

During the visit, the shot blasting machines were found non-operational. One as a standby arrangements.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry has installed forging press with electric billet heaters, rotary / sealed quenching furnace, annealing furnaces, hardening / tempering furnaces, normalizing furnace and mesh belt furnace. These all furnaces are electrically operated.</span></p>

The industry has provided flow meter at the inlet of the pipe carrying fresh water in the phosphating section. The industry is also reusing treated effluent in the phosphating section and has provided water meter on the same. The representative guided to provide colour codeing on all the pipes carrying treated / untreated effluent and remove the extra / pipes if unused. The industry is maintaining the record regarding the consumption of water as well as generation of effluent.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry has installed ETP of capacity 05 KLD, which is adequate. RO reject is being treated through electric evaporation. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry has installed one STP to treat the domestic effluent. During the visit, STP was found in operation. Effluent samples collected from the final outlet of STP leading to sewer. The effluent samples collected sent to PPCB Laboratory for analysis and report of the same is awaited.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>It is appropriate to mention here that earlier, the effluent samples were collected from the final outlet of the STP during the visit on 01.09.2022. As per the analysis report received, concentration of the parameters were found within the prescribed limits of the Board as under :-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">pH = 7.9, TSS = 32 mg/L, TDS = 698 mg/L, BOD = 15 mg/L, COD = 55 mg/L, O & G = BDL.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry is complying with the various terms and conditions of the earlier granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. </span></p>
<p class="Default" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-fareast; mso-bidi-font-family: Raavi; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; color: windowtext; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that renewal of consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.03.2028 with usual conditions and with the special condition to comply with the observations / suggestions conveyed during the visit.</span></p>
