<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Kindly find attached the detailed inspection report along with agenda note. Further observations are as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Earlier, the hotel was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: PA;">CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2022/19217837 dated 05/08/2022 valid up to 31/03/2023 </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-language: PA;">and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2022/19219795 dated 18/08/2022 dated 31/03/2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Now, the hotel has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 with requisite documents.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The hotel was visited by undersigned on 21/03/2023 and observed as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">1. The hotel comprising of Hotel with 134 Rooms, One Banquest, One Resturant and One Kitty Hall.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">2. The hotel has installed STP. The STP was in operation at the time of visit and entire treated effluent was being discharged onto land for horticulture, sewer and re-circulated in cooling towers and flushing.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">3. The institute has installed 4 no. D.G sets (2 X 750 KVA, 1 X 500 KVA and 1 X 250 KVA) and all of them are provided with canopy. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">4. The hotel has installed Diesel/PNG fired baby boiler of capacity 4800 ltrs/day for generating steam for laundry purpose.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>It is pertinent to mention here that the treated effluent samples of the hotel was collected by this office on 01/06/2022 and sent to Zonal Lab, Jalandhar for analysis. As per analysis report received from Zonal Lab, Jalandhar vide no. 1800-02 dated 21/06/2022, the analyzed parameters i.e. pH=7.1, COD=60 mg/l, BOD=10 mg/l, TSS=BDL, TDS=610 mg/l and O&G=BDL are within prescribed limits of the Board for such type of discharge.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>It is further submitted that the unit is complying with conditions of the consents granted under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>It is further intimated that the unit falls in Red category in the large-scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with Hon’ble Chairman of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Keeping in view of the above, the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed up to 31/03/2026 with usual conditions along with special condition that the hotel shall submit the analysis report of effluent within 02 months.</span></p> |
