CTOA/Renewal/SAS/2017/6709600 dated 21.11.2017, valid till 30.06.2022 for manufacturing of Lead Ingots/Purified lead @ 5,500 MT/Year using Dry lead acid batteries including grid plates and other lead scrap/ ashes/ residues @ 6,000 MT/Year with special conditions as under:</span></p>

CTOA/Fresh/SAS/2017/6129846 dated 19/9/2017 (valid upto 18/9/2018) issued to the industry vide Board's letter no. 5546 dated 19/9/2017 under the Air Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 39.0pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -24.8pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-family: Verdana; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">22.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">In case the industry fails to comply with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/or any other environmental law applicable to the industry and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time, the Board shall constrained to take strict action against the industry which may include legal action and / or closure of the unit without giving any further notice / opportunity.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">The industry was given personal hearing before the Chief Environmental Engineer of the Board on 11.08.2022. During hearing it was decided as under:</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 3.0cm; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -31.05pt; mso-list: l0 level2 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-family: Verdana; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">The industry shall apply consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents within 15-days through OCMMS.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -31.05pt; mso-list: l0 level2 lfo1; background: white; margin: 5.0pt 0cm .0001pt 3.0cm;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-family: Verdana; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar shall visit the site of the industry exact after 15-days to verify the conditions imposed in the consent to operate/ authorization earlier granted to industry on annotated form, to verify the SOP conditions framed for such type of units, to check the progress made by the industry, to verify the compliances and to give comments/ recommendations with respect to the industry statement/ claim.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">Now, the industry has applied renewal of Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Lead Ingots/Purified lead @ 5,500 MT/Year using Dry lead acid batteries including grid plates and other lead scrap/ashes/residues @ 6000 MT/year along with requisite documents.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">The project proponent has submitted CA Certificate with the value of fixed assets of Rs. 1.39 crore on 31.03.2022. The project proponent has deposited Rs. 1,08,000/- (Rs. 54000/- under Water Act, 1974 + Rs. 54000/- under Air Act, 1981) vide R no. 47/5541 dated 14.03.2023. After deduction of late fees, NOC regularization fees, the consent under Water Act, 1974 is valid till 31.08.2026 and consent under Air Act, 1981 till 31.12.2026.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">The project proponent has submitted compliance report of the conditions of previous Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 granted to it.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; background: white;"><strong><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">The project proponent has not submitted analysis report from NABL approved laboratory. The project proponent has not submitted completion certificate and dimensional drawing of APCD provided with Mandir Bhatti furnace.</span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 13.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">The industry was visited by undersigned on 23.2.2023 and contacted Sh. Deepak Kumar, Care taker (7988787451). During visit it was observed as under:</span></p>
