<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Kindly peruse the agenda note and recommendation given by RO. It is intimated that the early industry violated the provision of the Water Act,1974, and Air act,1981 as the industry carried out surface treatment and was not provided any treatment plant. The industry disposed of / discharged its effluent to an undisclosed location.</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> Accordingly, the industry was issued directions u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 for closure of the unit vide Board's letter no. 5357-58 dated 6/9/2022 and PSPCL authorities directed to disconnect the electricity supply u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 vide Board's letter no. 5353-56 dated 6/9/2022.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Thereafter the industry closed the water pollution process and the industry obtained CTO under the Water Act,1974 and Air Act 1981 under the green category 12/4/23.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Now the industry has applied renewal CTO under both Acts under the green category, as competency to decide the CTO is RO as per the policy of the Board. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> RO has reported that the industry has complied with the provision of the water Act,1974, and the Air Act,1981 in the last three visits</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">May if approved directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 be issued to PSPCL authority for parament restoration of electric supply to the industry with the special condition that the industry shall not start any wet manufacture process in its premises without prior permission of Board.</span></p>
