<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">It is intimated that the industry earlier applied for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of MOTOR PARTS I.E. UNIVERSAL JOINT CROSS @ 2500 Number/day which was refused, as the suction mechanism was not provided on electrically heated furnaces and industry failed to provided details of rain harvesting and septic tank. Now the industry has re-applied for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin: 0.3pt 0in 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> The industry has deposited Rs. 108000/- vide no. 900839820 dated 21.11.2022 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 10800/- vide no. 900839820 dated 21.11.2022 as NOC fee, Rs. 108000/- vide no. 948164757 dated 21.11.2022 under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 500/- vide no. 948164757 dated 21.11.2022 under Air Act, 1981 which is adequate upto 30.06.2030</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was visited by the officer of the Board on 24.03.2023 and found as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 0.75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was in operation and is engaged in the manufacturing of auto parts.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed 3 no. electrical heated furnaces. To properly disperse the fumes the industry has now provided suction mechanism along with stack.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry is not generating any trade effluent, only domestic effluent is generated, which the discharged onto land for plantation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 0.75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has provided details of septic tank and rain water harvesting.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> In view of the above, it is recommended that Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2030 with suitable terms and conditions, please.</span></p>
