<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;"> 1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;">In the agenda note, the Regional Office has reported that the quantity of raw material to be process as 750 MTA for production of battery plates @ 1000 nos/day and lead ingots @ 500 TPA, however in the noting it has been mentioned that the industry has applied for varied CTOs for production of battery plates @ 2000 nos/day and lead ingot @ 1350 TPA by using lead acid battery plates/scrap @ 2000 TPA. Further, in the application form the quantity of lead acid battery scrap to be processed is mentioned as 7500 kg/day and no detail has been mentioned w.r.t. product to be formed. The details of raw material/product mentioned in the application form/agenda/noting are not in tandem with each other.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;"> 2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;">The Regional Office has reported in the noting that the Effluent Treatment Plant of capacity @ 1 KLD has been installed, however the water consumption/disposal details mentioned in the agenda note are Nil and also no details has been mentioned in the agenda w.r.t. ETP installed. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;"> 3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;">The date of commissioning of the industry has been mentioned 17.03.2023, however as per the record, the industry is in operation at the said site from last 10 years.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;"> 4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;">During visit to the industry on 29.11.2022, it was observed that no specific area has been provided for breaking of the scrap batteries which were lying all over floor area resulting in poor house- keeping and also no record was produced regarding lifting of the battery scrap. The visiting officer has not reported the compliance w.r.t. said violations and has also not reported that whether the lead bearing scrap procured by the industry is well within the consented capacity or not. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>In view of above, if approved, the Regional Office be requested to clarify the above to further process the application. </span></p>
