<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">It is intimated that the industry is a Large Scale Red Category unit engaged in the manufacturing of Nylon yarns@ 40 TPD and Nylon Chips @ 2.9 TPD from raw material Caprolactum @ 32 T/day, master chips @ 0.3 T/day, POY @ 3.1 T/day, Adipic Acid @ 15 Kgs/day.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which was valid upto 31.03.2023.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>Now the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 online through OCMMS.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has deposited </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: black;">Rs. 282000/- vide UTR No. 170507964 dated 24.03.2023 and Rs. 282000/- vide UTR No. 821633358 dated 24.03.2023. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.03.2024.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has submitted, compliance of earlier granted consents,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>CA Certificate. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: black;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry was visited by officers of the Board on 02.02.2023 and observed that:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: black;">The industry has installed boiler of capacity 38TPH and using as a fuel Rice Husk and same was in operation during the visit. The industry has provided electrostatic precipitator as APCD with this boiler and adequate stack height and sampling arrangements.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">The air emission sampling of the industry was carried out by officers of the Board during the visit and as per analysis report received from Zonal Office Lab., Jalandhar vide No. 384-86 dated 14.02.2023, the concentration of<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>PM is 96 mg/Nm3 against 150 mg/Nm3 i.e.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>within the limits prescribed by Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: black;">The industry has provided 01 No. boiler of 8TPH and has provided multicyclone as APCD with it and the same was not in operation during the visit.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: black;">The industry has installed the thermo-pack alongwith two stage alkali scrubber and same was not in operation at the time of visit. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .5in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: black;">The ETP installed by the industry was also in operation and treated effluent was being used onto land for plantation after treatment in ETP.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The treated effluent sample was collected on 17.11.2022 and same was sent to PBTI, Mohali for analysis, as per analysis report received from the PBTI Lab, Mohali vide no.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>718 daetd 23.11.2022, the concentration of <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>pH- 7.55, TSS – 12.4 mg/l, TDS- 1244 mg/l, BOD <1 mg/l, COD 13 mg/l, Oil & Grease – BDL are within the limits <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>prescribed by the Board. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt;">In view of above, if approved, t is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for the period upto 31.03.2024 with usual terms and conditions and with special condition that the industry shall comply all the guidelines issued by the CPCB / Punjab Pollution Control Board.</span></p>
