<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Earlier the service station was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/LDH1/2018/6966363 dated 08.05.2018 valid upto 30.09.2022 and CTOA/Fresh/LDH1/2018/6965770 dated 08.05.2018 valid upto 30.09.2022 by namely M/s Sandhu automobiles pvt. ltd, (dholewal chowk), B-21-5-46/1616/1, g.t. road, dholewal chowk, ludhiana,with conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Now the service station has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 by namely M/s Hoshiarpur automobiles, B-21, S-46/1616/1, G.T. Road, opposite Military Camps, Dholewal Chowk, Ludhiana, as the premises has been taken on lease by M/s Hoshiarpur automobiles, limited from its original occupier.</span></p>
<p class="TableParagraph" style="margin: 0.3pt 0in 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> The service station has deposited Rs. 90000/- vide no. 271403203 dated 23.03.2023 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 18000/- vide no. 271403203 dated 23.03.2023 as NOC regularization fee, Rs. 4500/- vide no. 271403203 dated 23.03.2023 other penalty fee, Rs. 90000/- vide no. 932047443 dated 23.03.2023 under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 4500/- vide no. 932047443 dated 23.03.2023 other penalty fee, which is adequate upto 30.09.2027.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was visited by the officer of the Board on 24.03.2023 and found as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The unit is engaged in sale, servicing and washing of cars.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The service station has installed ETP comprising of following components: - Collection tank ->Oil skimmer -> Aeration -> Alum dosing, -> Multi grade & Pressure grade filter -> Activated carbon filer -> Partially reused & partially discharged into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Treated trade effluent is partially discharged into sewer and is partially re-used in the washing process after treatment through ETP. The service station has installed water meter at final outlet of ETP and on the pipeline used for re-using effluent in the washing process. The service station is maintaining the log book to keep record for discharge of treated trade effluent and chemical used for ETP.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Domestic effluent generated from service station is discharged into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The service station has installed 1 no. DG set of capacity 125 KVA of adequate stack height with canopy.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The service station has submitted certificate issued by DTP vide no. 1998 dated 09.08.2017</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The service station has submitted building plan approved from competent person under Factory Act.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> In view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the service station upto 30.09.2027 with suitable terms and conditions.</span></p>
