The Marriage Palace was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SGR/2018/8469716 dated 04/10/2018 and under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vides no. CTOW/Renewal/SGR/2018/8469812 dated 04/10/2018, valid upto 30/09/2022 for marriage palace of capacity 600 persons.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm -1.35pt 6.0pt 0cm;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm -1.35pt 6.0pt 0cm;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"> Now, the Marriage Palace has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 with requisite documents through OCMMS under orange category. The consent fee deposited as mentioned at sr. no. (vii) against the un-depreciated value of fixed assets of Rs. 39.84 lacs as on 30/09/2022 as per CA certificate dated 30.09.2022 submitted by the on account of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 is adequate upto 31.01.2028<strong>.</strong></span></p>

Therefore, the lifting of solid waste does come under the jurisdiction of MC Sunam. However, the plastic / re-recyclable waste is being lifted by natural scavenger system/Local rag pickers to channelize the same for recycling through local kabarias. The establishment has also made agreement with piggery farm for disposal of kitchen waste.</span></p>

SEE (HQ-2)/2016/26654-64 dated 12/5/2016 and shall provide atleast grit removal arrangement with oil & grease trap followed by septic tank of having adequate design to treat the effluent received.”</span></em></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm -.9pt 6.0pt 3.15pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"> Moreover, the Hon’ble NGT while disposing of the matter of O.A. no. 400/2017 titled as Westend Green Society V/s UOI and others has passed orders dated 4/2/2021 and the relevant part of which is reproduced as under:</span></p>

The treated domestic effluent is being discharged into MC sewer leading to terminal STP of Sunam of capacity 8 MLD.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 32.85pt; margin: 0cm 0cm 6.0pt 4.5pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"> In view of above, it is found that the industry is complying with the guidelines for control and enforcement of environmental norms as notified by Board’s circular no. 64 dated 2/2/2021.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 32.85pt; margin: 0cm 0cm 6.0pt 4.5pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"> Therefore, keeping in view of above mentioned facts and submissions made by the project proponent, this office is of the opinion that the establishment may be granted renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 for a shorter period <strong>upto 30.09.2027</strong> <strong>being standalone marriage palace</strong> with usual conditions and special condition that:-</span></p>
