<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;">It is intimated that the subject cited industry was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/PTA/2018/7191156 dated 21/03/2018, valid upto 30/09/2022 and under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/PTA/2018/7191172 dated 21/03/2018, valid upto 30/09/2022 for manufacturing of M.S. Castings, Steel Rolls @ 12 MT/day by using Pig Iron, Iron & Steel Scrap & Ferro Alloys @ 13.2 MT/Day as raw material, subject to certain conditions as mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for manufacturing of M.S. Castings, Steel Rolls @ 12 MT/day by using Pig Iron, Iron & Steel Scrap & Ferro Alloys @ 13.2 MT/Day as raw material along with requisite documents & fee. The industry has deposited Rs. 44100/- vide UTR. No. N046232332904578 dated 15.02.2023 as water consent fee and Rs. 44100/- vide UTR no. N046232332926837 dated 15.02.2023 as air consent fee against the value of fixed assets of Rs. 107.78 lakh as on 11.11.2022 as per CA certificate dated 15.11.2022 submitted by it under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has deposited Rs. 1800/- vide UTR. No. N046232332904578 dated 15.02.2023 as NOC regularization fee due to increase in value of fixed assets. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;">The industry has also submitted stack emissions sampling reports and analyzed by the Board's Laboratory on 18.02.2022 . As per the report, the concentration of particulate matter is 140 mg/Nm<sup>3</sup> (shelling section) and 150 mg/Nm3, which are within the permissible limits as prescribed by the Board. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;">The Board vide office order no. 443 dated 09.08.2021 has decided in suppression of Board’s office order no. SEE(HQ)/F.No. 957/2016/59 dated 02.02.2016 to extend the facility for auto generated renewal to all categories of small scale industries/projects without inspection/physical verification of the environmental parameters at the time of submission of such applications.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 150%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;">The industry is complying with the consent conditions under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">In view of the above, may if approved, recommendation be sent to Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-1, Patiala for grant of consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2027 for manufacturing of M.S. Castings, Steel Rolls @ 12 MT/day by using Pig Iron, Iron & Steel Scrap & Ferro Alloys @ 13.2 MT/Day as raw material subject to suitable conditions mentioned in the original consent letter granted by the Board. </span></p> |
