<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is intimated that, the hotel is a small scale orange category unit. Earlier the hotel was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 both valid upto 30.09.2022 for the disposal of only domestic effluent @ 1.5 KLD into sewer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the hotel has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for the disposal of domestic effluent @ 1.5 KLD into sewer. The hotel has deposited consent fee, which are adequate upto 30.09.2025 under both Acts.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The hotel was visited by AEE of RO on 06.03.2023 and observed as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The hotel has provided 30 no. rooms inside the premises.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. The hotel has constructed ground floor for showroom purpose and 1st, 2nd & 3rd floor having rooms for the stay of guests.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. The hotel has not made any kitchen in the premises.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">4. The hotel is generating only domestic effluent from the room toilets, which is being directly discharge into M.C Sewer, leading to the terminal STPs.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">5. There is no generation of trade effluent.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">6. The hotel has installed 1 no. DG set of capacity @ 62.5 KVA, which is fitted with canopy.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">7. The hotel is complying with the provisions of under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">As per the report, the hotel is complying with the guidelines for hotels etc. related to PPCB, however compliance from other departments is required to be submitted by the hotel. The hotel has approved its building map from the Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana vide no. 335 dated 11.06.1990. The industry has submitted letter from ATP, Ludhiana vide no. 2624 dt. 08.06.2018 mentioning that the site of the hotel falls in the commercial zone and hotels are allowed at the site.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed upto 31.07.2023, with suitable conditions and special condition that the hotel shall submit the complete compliance of CPCB guidelines/ PPCB order no. 64 dated 02.02.2021 regarding Hotel marriage palace etc including certification from other departments with whom the compliances relates for further renewal of Consents.</span></p>
