<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for Steel Wire @ 100 MTD and Wire Road @ 35 MTD from Raw Material Wire Road @ 140 MTD, Hydraoulic Acid @ 0.8 MTD, Zinc @ 0.66 MTD, Sulphuric Acid @ 1.5 MTD and now added two raw material Lead @ 0.08 MTD and Phoshpate @ 275 Ltr/day. The industry has applied through OCMMS, CA Certificate, compliance report, Detail of Stack & height, Manufacturing Process.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">The industry has deposited Rs. 434900/- vide UTR No. ICICR22023013100009388 dated 31.01.2023 and Rs. 420000 vide UTR No. ICICR22023013100009389 dated 31.03.2023. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.03.2028. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">Earlier, the industry was visited by officers of this office on 17.11.2022 and it was observed that the industry was in operation, the effluent sample was collected at the final outlet of the ETP and same was sent to PBTI, Mohali, as per analysis report received vide no. 716 daetd 23.11.2022, the concentration of pH- 7.77, TSS – 26.7 mg/l, TDS – 1015 mg/l, BOD- 13mg/l, COD – 56 mg/l and O & G – BDL (MDL1) mg/l, Iron @ 8 mg/l, Chloride @ 77 mg/l, Sulphate @ 540 mg/l, and various parameters are beyond the prescribed limits.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">Earlier, the air emission sampling was also carried out on 08.03.2022 from the stack of pickling section and as per analysis results, the concentration of Acid mist is ND mg/Nm3, which is within limits. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">It is further mentioned here that the industry was visited by officers of the Board on 14.03.2023 and it was observed that industry was in operation. The industry is engaged in the manufacturing of steel wire and wire ropes. The industry has installed pickling furnace and furnace with wet scrubbers and stack height provided. The industry has installed DG Set of capacity @ 500 KVA with canopy and stack height. The industry has installed ETP for the treatment of trade effluent and same is discharged onto land for plantation. The industry has submitted the bank guarantee of Rs. 2.5 lacs and same was expired on 31.12.2021. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be refused due to above said reasons please. </span></p> |
