<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt;"><span lang="EN-US">It is submitted that the HCF was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Fresh/BAR/2021/15074796 dated 21/04/2021 and the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Fresh/BAR/2021/15074781 dated 09/04/2021 both valid upto 30/09/2021 for 10 beds capacity, subject to certain conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt;"><span lang="EN-US">The HCF has also obtained authorization under BMW Relus, 2016 which is valid upto 30.09.2021, the renewal of the same is under process in this office, which is being processed separately. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt;"><span lang="EN-US">Now, the HCF has submitted an application for renewal of consent to operate of the Board under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents for 10 beds capacity. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt;"><span lang="EN-US">The HCF has deposited consent fee of Rs. 5000 vide R.No. N079232378896055 dated 20.03.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 5000 vide R.No. N079232378883077 dated 20.03.2023 under the Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.09.2024. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt;"><span lang="EN-US">To verify the facts, the HCF was visited by the then AEE of this office on 13.02.2023 and it was observed as under:- </span></p>

Ltd., Ludhiana, authorized by the Board, which has under taken the liability of collection, transportation and treatment / disposal of Bio-Medical Waste generating from the hospital. The agreement is valid upto 30/09/2025. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt;"><span lang="EN-US">The HCF is complying with the conditions imposed in the authorization granted to it under the Bio-Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 1998. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt;"><span lang="EN-US">As per Board's letter no. EPA/2017/No. 5261-86 dated 15/12/2017, the competency to decide consent cases under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 upto 50 bedded healthcare facility lies with Environmental Engineer, Regional Office. </span></p>
