CTOA/Varied/SAS/2020/13828125 dated 13/10/2020, both having validity upto <u>30/09/2025</u>, for manufacturing of Rice Mill Machinery - Such As Pre-Cleaner, Husker, Paddy Separator, Whitener, Polisher, Multigrain Cleaner, Length Grader, Tipseparator, Grain Discharger, Grain Feeder Etc. @ <u>45 Numbers/Day</u> as products, subject to certain condition as mentioned therein.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining varied ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, for manufacturing of Rice Mill Machinery Such As- Pre Cleaner, Husker, Paddy Separator, Whitener , Polisher, Multi Grain Cleaner, Length Grader, Tip Separator, Grain Discharger, Grain Feeder Etc. @ <u>57 Numbers/Day</u> as products.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;">As per the record, earlier the industry had deposited by the consent fee, which was adequate upto 30.09.2025. Now, the industry has deposited to Rs. 112100/- vide R. no. 835040627 dated 22.03.2023 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 93600/- vide R. no. 463780804 dated 22.03.2023 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.09.2027, (Considering for NOC regularization fee to Rs. 18000/-) for both the Acts against the fixed assets of Rs. 2628.26 Lacs on 28.02.2023.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 6.0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 56.7pt; line-height: 150%; background: white;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry has also submitted a copy of revised building plan signed by Sh. Jasvir Singh, Competent Person of Director of Factories of Punjab.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;">The process industry is not covered under the ambit of EIA notification dated 14.09.2006.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 6.0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; background: white;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><u>Suitability of Site:</u></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 6.0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; background: white;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The industry has applied for varied ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981,. For increase in production capacity of manufacturing of rice mill machinery from 45 number/day to 57 number/day.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry has carried out expansion inside its existing premises in plot no. D-39-40 and D 44-45 and has not proposed to add any new land area. As the site of the industry is located in industrial focal point thus, site is suitable.</span></p>

Only domestic effluent is generated, which is discharged into the sewerage system of PSIEC, which leads to common STP of capacity 2 MLD.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;">In view of the above, it is recommended that the varied 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2027 to the industry for Rice Mill Machinery Such As- Pre Cleaner, Husker, Paddy Separator, Whitener , Polisher, Multi Grain Cleaner, Length Grader, Tip Separator, Grain Discharger, Grain Feeder Etc. <u>@ 57 Numbers</u>/Day as products, within its existing premises comprising of D-39, D-40 & D-44 located at Focal Point, DeraBassi, under Orange category with suitable conditions as per the policy of the Board and the following additional conditions: -</p>
