<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry obtained CTE (NOC expansion) on 17.11.2020 (with validity up to 16.11.2021) for installation of another unit to produce Ethanol/ENA/Rectified Spirit @ 105 KLD (total after expansion) by using Grain @ 235 MT/day (total after expansion) as raw material, Bottled Liquor (IMFL/CL) @ 25000 cases/day, Thermal Power (for captive use) @ 3 MW as the main product and DDGS @ 70 MT/day, CO2 @ 75 MT/day as By-product for along with Zero Liquid discharge of trade effluent. This CTE was extended up to 10.12.2021 and then again up to 10.12.2022. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of CTOs under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 as well as extension in validity of CTE expansion granted to it.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by me along with AEE on 06.03.2023 and it was observed that the industry has not yet started the construction work for carrying out expansion work for which it had obtained CTE expansion. The industry had laid only the foundation work of the proposed 35 TPH capacity boiler and the construction work for proposed ETP of capacity 1200 KLD capacity was yet to be started.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Thereafter, a team of officers of the Board was constituted in light of decision of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Committee on River Ghaggar and Sutlej for checking of any discharge by the industry into drain/river. The said team visited the industry on 13.03.2023. The report of the visit made by the team has already been attached in the note dated 28.03.2023 for kind perusal. The findings of the visit made by the team as mentioned in the said report are reproduced as under:</span></p>
