As such, directions u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 were issued for closure of the industry and the electric connected was disconnected by PSPCL authorities vide TDCO no. 79/298 dated 29.08.2022.

Thereafter, the electric connection was restored upto 21.03.2023 and EC of Rs. 50,000/- was imposed. The industry has deposited Environmental Compensation of Rs. 50,000/- vide R.No. 21/5430 dated 22.09.2022 and consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 was granted upto 21.03.2023.

Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974. The industry has already deposited consent fee, which is adequate upto 30.06.2026.

Accordingly, the industry was visited by the AEE of RO on 14.03.2023 and it was observed as under:-

1. The industry was in operation and is engaged in dyeing of fabrics.

2. The industry has installed 03 soft flow machines of capacities (2x200 Kg & 1x150 Kg) for dyeing purposes. (As per machinery maximum production of dyeing of polyester will be 3.3 TPD and dyeing of cotton will be 0.825 TPD, the industry has applied for dyeing of fabric @ 2.2 TPD).

3. The industry has obtained shares of 50 KLD and has installed flow meter/SCADA system for leading the effluent to CETP.

4. The industry is discharging its trade & domestic effluent into CETP 40 MLD. The M.C. sewer in proximity of industry was verified during visit and no connection was observed during the visit.
