<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 18.0pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no: CTOW/Renew/LDH3/2023/20822814 & CTOA/Renew/LDH3/2023/20822446 respectively, both dated 20.01.2023 valid upto 31.03.2024 each (Sh. Amarjeet Singh as Proprietor of the industry), subject to suitable conditions and with special condition that the industry shall obtain registration under the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) from the Central Pollution Control Board within one month and submit the copy of the same to this office.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 18.0pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for Renewal of ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. <span style="background: white;">The </span>industry <span style="background: white;">has submitted C.A. certificate dated 07.12.2022 showing gross fixed assets value of Rs. 48.03 lacs. </span>The industry has already deposited Rs. 11,000/- vide online receipt no. 99218995 dated 06.01.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 11,000/- vide online receipt no. 100699040 dated 06.01.2023 under the Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 31.12.2027 under both acts. The industry has submitted request that Sh. Surinder Singh is the proprietor of the firm and has submitted GST registration certificate as proof of change of proprietorship of the firm. The industry has requested to grant ‘Consent to Operate’ under the name of Sh. Surinder Singh so as to apply further on registration under Extended Producers Responsibility Portal started by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. As per record file of the industry, the District Town Planner, Ludhiana vide memo no: 2625 DTP(L) /M2A dated 23.08.2013 has intimated that the industry falls under Mixed Land Use along road front zone as per Approved Master Plan, Jagraon (2010-2031). The Punjab Pollution Control Board vide no: 21 dated 08.06.2018 has decided that the existing industrial units/other establishments, which were established before the notification of the master plan of the respective cities shall be allowed consents/extension under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for period of 15 years from the date of notification of master plan and no separate approval from local bodies/other authorities is required to be obtained.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 3.0cm; line-height: 18.0pt; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that </span><span lang="EN-US" style="text-indent: -18pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Short term ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for period upto 31.03.2024 subject to suitable conditions and with special condition that the industry shall obtain registration under the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) from the Central Pollution Control Board within one month and submit the copy of the same to this office.</span></p>
