<p style="text-align: justify;">The hallmarking centre was granted consent to establish/NOC for gold assaying and hallmarking XRF test @ 300 no/day and Fire Assay Test @ 20 no/day on 31.10.2022 (valid upto 30.10.2023).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now the application applied for obtaining consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 along with CA certificate of Rs. 47.20 lac as on 05.04.2023 (copy attached).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Regional Office has reported that the site of the hallmarking centre was visited on 07.03.2023 and it was observed that water scrubber has been installed for arresting the emissions generated from the cupellation and parting section. Also, completion certificate regarding installation of wet scrubber as APCD submitted by the hallmarking centre from M/s Advanced Environmental Consultant, Mall Godown Road, Dhuri.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It has been further reported that after neutralizing of acidic effluent i.e. after silver recovery, caustic/lime is added to the effluent, which is thereafter discharged into MC sewer after sedimentation. Separate room provided for storage of the hazardous waste and DG set provided of capacity @ 20 KVA which is equipped with canopy and adequate stack height.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, if approved, CTOs under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the hallmarking centre for a period upto 30.09.2027, subject to the following specific conditions:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The Hall Marking Centre will comply with the environmental guidelines for Gold Assaying and Hallmarking Centers issued by CPCB /MoEF & CC, Govt. of India in October, 2020 and its amendments, if any.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. The industry will apply for obtaining authorization under the provisions of Hazardous Waste Rules, 2016, within one month.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. The Hallmarking centre will dispose-off its hazardous waste to TSDF/ authorized recycler only.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">4. This consent to operate is issued from pollution angle and the project proponent of Hall Marking Centre shall obtain the statutory clearances / permissions from the other concerned departments, as required.</p>
