<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Now the industry has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The project proponent has submitted various documents, which are enclosed along with the application, which may kindly be pursued.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">It is pertinent to mention here that as per the record of this office, the said unit has never applied for consent to operate/NOC from the Board in the past, therefore, the project is covered under VDS scheme of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The PSCST, Chandigarh has certified vide letter no. PSCST/CC/12 dated 11/04/2014 that the industry has installed cupola furnace and air pollution control device having melting capacity less than 3T/hr as per the technology evolved by PSTST, Chandigarh.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has submitted the land use classification certificate from E.O, Municipal Council, Batala vide letter no. 384 dated 21/02/2019, (Copy Enclosed), in which it is intimated that the industry falls in industry zone, which may kindly be perused.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';"> The industry has depositedRs. 17,000/- vide UTR No. YESB30523845600 dated 21/02/2023 &Rs. 15,400/- vide UTR No. YESB30523895807 dated 30/09/2023as consent to operate fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 including Rs. 500/- as Form Downloading fee against total gross value of fixed assets worth Rs. 9,74,462/- as on 31/01/2023and same are adequate upto 30/09/2027 under both Acts.</span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry was visited by the officer of this office on 06/04/2023 and observed as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 21px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';"> The project proponent has submitted Approved Building Plan from the competent person under the Punjab Factories Act, 1948.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The project falls in Orange category in small scale sector, hence competency to decide the case lies with the Environmental Engineer of the Board in the light of Head Office, Patiala letter no. 19650-761 dated 30/</span><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">04/2013.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 16.1px; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">In view of above, if approved, the fresh consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30/09/2027 with suitable conditions.</span></p> |
