<p>It is intimated that earlier, the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 were extended to the HMP for a period upto 31/03/2023 vide online reference no. CTOW/Renewal/GRP/2022/18095353 & CTOA/Renewal/GRP/2022/18095338 dt 11/03/2022 under orange category.</p>
<p>Now the industry has applied for obtaining further extension in validity of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has deposited Rs. 8400/- each vide UTR No. 000837328074 & 000837329439 dtd 13/03/2023 as Consent to Operate fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 against the C.A. certificate regarding fixed assets as Rs. 1,07,72,000/- as on 15/03/2023 and same is valid upto one year period. The site of Hot Mix Plant was visited on 05/04/2023 and it was observed as under: -</p>
<p>1. The Hot Mix Plant was not in operation during visit.</p>
<p>2. The Hot Mix Plant has installed one aggregate mixer, 02 no. bitumen heaters.</p>
<p>3. The Hot Mix Plant has provided Bag house followed by twin cyclone as APCD with adequate stack height.</p>
<p>4. The Hot Mix Plant has provided adequate sampling arrangement with its stack.</p>
<p>5. The industry has provided sampling arrangements for stack of bitumen mixer.</p>
<p>6. The industry has installed Environmental Data Board outside the industry.</p>
<p>7. The Hot Mix Plant has provided plantation as per code of practice.</p>
<p>It is pertinent to mention here that the industry is complying with the conditions of consent to operate granted earlier under both Acts.</p>
<p>The industry falls in orange category in small scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Amritsar.</p>
<p>In view of above, it is recommended that the Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for one year period and with the special condition that the industry shall submit the stack emission analysis report from Board’s Lab within two months.</p> |
