The industry has made compliance of decisions of hearing held on 12/01/2023 and has now applied for renewal of CTOs.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top: 9.8pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 87.7pt; line-height: 13.8pt; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The industry was found not in operation by the visiting officer on 06/04/2023, though he has claimed that it has taken adequate steps to comply with provision of the Air Act, 1981 and operate its APCD efficiently, but the compliance w.r.t. its claim shall be checked, when the industry is in operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span>It is therefore recommended that renewal of 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for production of Steel Ingots @ 72 MTD, be granted to the industry upto <strong>30/09/2024</strong> with suitable conditions and special conditions mentioned in the note AEE.</span></p>
