<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2019/9365659 <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold; mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">dated 28/03/2019, </span>which was valid <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold; mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">up to 05/07/2021 and under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2016/4202965 dated 21/10/2016, </span>which were valid <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold; mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">up to dated 30/09/2022 </span><span style="mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">for manufacturing of Capsules @ 110000 Numbers/Day, Tablets @ 14000 Numbers/Day & Injections @ 14000 Numbers/Day by using Paracetamol @ 25 Kgs/day, Analgin @ 25 Kgs/day & Diclofenac Sodium @ 10 Kgs/day as raw materials, trade effluent @ 10 KLD.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 along with compliance of the previous granted consents, emission analysis report from private laboratory and CA certificate.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry was visited by officer of this office on 06/04/2023 and observed as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The industry has installed D.G. sets of capacity 380 KVA & 500 KVA, which are fitted with canopies.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .75in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The treated trade effluent was being discharged onto land for plantation after treatment. The industry is discharging its domestic effluent onto land for plantation/gardening after septic tank.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>It is further intimated that the industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted earlier under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. The industry falls in Orange category in the small scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30/09/2027 with suitable terms & conditions.</span></p> |
