<p style="text-align: justify;">The agency was granted consents to operate on 13.11.2015 under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 and the same were valid upto 30.09.2020.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The agency was visited by the officer of the Board on 08.06.2022 and was found violating and was also found discharging untreated trade effluent as well as domestic effluent directly into bore-well.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Notice u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 & show cause notice for violation of provisions of the Air Act, 1981 was issued to the agency with an opportunity of personal hearing on 07.07.2022, wherein it was decided as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The industry shall immediately stop carrying out washing activities and RO to seal the machinery used for washing of vehicles.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. During hearing, representatives of the industry were made clear that in case of any violations, directions will be issued to the PSPCL authorities for disconnection of electric connection of the industry without giving any notice / opportunity.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. RO to submit report / recommendations immediately after complying decision no. (1).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> Thereafter, the agency applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981, which was granted to the agency with validity upto 16.02.2023, subject to the specific condition that the agency will operate its ETP regularly & scientifically and shall maintain proper record of the effluent generated/treated/disposed. Also, the washing section of the agency which was sealed in compliance to the decision of the personal hearing dated 07.07.2022 was de-sealed.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> Now the agency has again applied for obtaining consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> The agency was visited by RO on 23.03.2023 and it was observed that:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The agency was in operation alongwith washing section and also the ETP was in operation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. One no. effluent sample was collected from the outlet of the ETP and as per the analysis report the conc. of various parameters was found within the permissible limits.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. Flow meter provided at the outlet of the ETP and also water meter provided at the source of raw water supply.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">4. The treated effluent is discharged onto land for plantation developed in an area of 500 sq. yard.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">5. Painting is carried out by the agency in a closed chamber equipped with inbuilt filters and with adequate stack height.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, if approved, consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 be granted to the agency upto 30.09.2027, subject to the following specific conditions:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The agency will operate its ETP regularly and scientifically and shall maintain proper record of the effluent generated/treated/disposed.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. The agency will get its effluent sample analyzed from the Board's lab/Approved lab of the Board as per the policy of the Board.</p>
