<p><span lang="EN-US">RO has reported that the industry has granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2018/7269493 and under Air (prevention & Control Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2018/7227908 dated 10/05/2018, which are valid upto 31/03/2023 for dyeing of yarns and threads @ 2500 Mt/Year.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> Now the industry has applied for renewal of consents to operate granted under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. Details of the case are as under:-</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> The industry has submitted a CA certificate of Rs. 2373.15 Lakhs as on 28.02.2023. The industry has deposited Rs. 98,900 /- vide UTR No. 560532643 dtd 24/03/2023 (Rs 500/- as application form fee) & Rs. 98,400/- vide UTR No. 994995491 dtd 24/03/2023 as consent fee under Air Act, 1981, which are adequate up to 31/03/2025 under both Acts.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">The industry was visited by the officers of the Board on 23.01.2023 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry was in operation and is engaged in the cone dyeing of cotton & polyester yarn.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has installed ETP for treatment of its processing effluent based on physico-chemical followed by biological treatment. The ETP installed by industry was also in operation. during visit, effluent samples were collected from the outlet of the ETP and as per analysis report received from Board’s lab, the concentration of parameters were within the permissible limit as prescribed by the Board. Analysis report is also attached by the industry.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">3. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has provided EMF meter along with pH, Temp. & TDS meter at the final outlet. During visit, all the above mentioned meters were in operation & following readings were recorded:-</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">o </span><span lang="EN-US">EMF meter : 44.5 m3/h (flow rate), 389150.285 m3 (totalizer)</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">o </span><span lang="EN-US">TDS : 1262</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">o </span><span lang="EN-US">Temp. : 29ºC</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">o </span><span lang="EN-US">pH : 7.15</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">4. </span><span lang="EN-US">The manhole on sewer line carrying effluent of industry was also checked outside of industry on road and no bye-passed untreated effluent was seen.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">5. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has 03 submersibles installed. All 03 borewells are provided with EMF meters. The industry is maintaining record of consumption of fresh water from all 03 borewells as per which the industry has consumed 1,54,505 KL of fresh water from 01/04/2022 to 22/01/2023. The EMF meter readings observed as under:-</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">o </span><span lang="EN-US">Borewell 1 : 181262.079 m3</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">o </span><span lang="EN-US">Borewell 2 : 703420.950 m3</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">o </span><span lang="EN-US">Borewell 3 : 695169.386 m3</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">6. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has maintained record of ETP operation as per which the industry has discharged 1,41,926 KL in the period 01/04/2022 to 22/01/2023. As per the record, the fresh meter consumption viz-z-viz treated effluent discharged is proportional.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">7. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has provided sludge drying machine & has stored approx. 1235kg of sludge in 62 no. bags. The industry is also maintaining record of sludge generation & lifting, which is found in order.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">8. </span><span lang="EN-US">Further, earlier, the industry was also visited by this office on 30/09/2022 and effluent as well as emission samples were collected during visit. As per analysis report, the concentrations of various parameters in effluent as well as emission samples were within the permissible limit as prescribed by the Board.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">The industry is complying with conditions of consent granted earlier under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. As per MSME notification dated 26/06/2020, where the investment in plant and machinery or equipments does not exceed 50.0 Crore rupees and turn over does not exceed 250.0 Crore rupees, it is classified as Medium Enterprises, as the industry falls under Medium Enterprises.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">RO has recommended that </span>renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 31/03/2025 with suitable terms and conditions.</p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">In view of above, it is recommended that renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 31/03/2025 with suitable terms and conditions.</span></p>
