<p><span lang="EN-US">RO has reported that earlier, industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2018/8743174 dated 02/11/2018 and consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2018/8742971dated 02/11/2018, which was valid upto 30/09/2023 for manufacturing of CI CASTING @ 20 Metric Tonnes / Day by using one no. cupola furnace</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">Further the industry has granted NOC for extension under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Exp/ASR/2019/9136049 dated 07/02/2020, which was valid upto 07/02/2020 for manufacturing of additional SS/MS/GM Scrap @ 3 MTD by using one no. electric fired induction furnace</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of varied consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS with required documents for manufacturing of CI CASTINGS @ 20 MTD and SS/MS/GM CASTINGS @ 3 MTD. Detail of the case are as under:-</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has deposited Rs. 18000/- vide UTR No. N047232334660261 dated 16/02/2023 under Water Act, 19974 and Rs. 18000/- vide UTR No. N047232334661872 dated 16/02/2023 under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 500/- vide UTR No. N047232334662033 dated 16/02/2023 as application form fee and Rs, 10800 vide UTR No. N047232334676378 dated 16/02/2023 as NOC regularization fee, which is adequate upto 30/09/2027 against the fixed assets of Rs. 6226538/- as per CA certificate submitted by the industry.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2. </span><span lang="EN-US">The project proponent has submitted completion certificate issued by PSCST vide no. PSCST/TFD/691 dated 24/01/2023 of the Air Pollution Control Device provided with new induction furnace of capacity 500 Kg/heat.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">The site of the industry was visited by undersigned on 06/04/2023 and observed as under :-</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry was not in operation at the time of visit.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has installed 2 no. cupola furnaces out of which one no. cupola furnace was lying sealed. The industry was in the process of repairing of Air Pollution Control Device (wet cap scrubber) provided to the authorized cupola furnace. </span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">3. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry has installed induction furnace for which it has obtained NOC and has provided back filter as APCD with it as per completion certificate given by PSCST. installation work of induction furnace was under progress during visit.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US"> The industry is complying in the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">RO has recommended that </span>the varied consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry under Orange Category up to the period of 30/09/2027 for manufacturing of CI CASTINGS @ 20 MTD and SS/MS/GM CASTINGS @ 3 MTD with usual term and conditions and specific as under:-</p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry shall get its emission samples analyzed from Boards Lab within 01 month.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry shall get its wet cap scrubber of cupola furnace repaired before its re-commissioning.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">3. </span><span lang="EN-US">The industry shall comply with the SOPs prescribed by the Board for the induction furnace.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">In view of the above, if approved, the varied consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry under Orange Category up to the period of 30/09/2027 for manufacturing of CI CASTINGS @ 20 MTD and SS/MS/GM CASTINGS @ 3 MTD with usual term and conditions and specific as under:-</span></p>
