CTOA/Fresh/LDH1/2022/20111821 dated 16.11.2022 valid upto 30.06.2027 with conditions mentioned therein for disposal of trade effluent @ 1.0 KLD through RO permeate reused in process and RO reject passed through forced evaporator.

Now the industry has applied varied consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, as the industry has installed 1 shot blast machine with in-built bag house as APCD, 1 powder coating booth with dust collector and 1 electric oven in addition to consented machinery.

The industry has submitted during visit of EE and AEE on 24.3.2023 that forced evaporation could not be feasible practically and it will have to dispose of only 2 KLD of trade effluent to CETP operator, for which it has already enacted agreement on 15.9.2022. After installation of CETP at Mohali, the Board has issued order no. 64 dated 9.2.2023 that the CETP operator at Phase-8, Ludhiana has balance capacity of 51 KLD and it can carry out agreement for that capacity. As the present industry has carried out agreement with the said CETP on 15.9.2022 i.e. much before the above said order dated 9.2.2023, as such it has already been taken into account while accessing balance capacity. So the industry can be allowed to dispose of its trade effluent @ 2 KLD to CETP operator.
